On November 5th, Zoom will require version 5.8.6 or higher. Please check your Zoom version and update to the latest version if necessary. If you are unable to see the update option within the Zoom app, your app is automatically being updated by the Office of Information Technology and no action is needed.
Things to note about Sign Language Interpretation:
Hosts will need to assign an interpreter
There are currently four sign language interpretation channels: American, Chinese, French, and German.
Hosts must join the meeting or webinar through the Zoom desktop client to manage and initiate interpretation. They cannot join via the browser or mobile app.
APSU has limited cloud storage, and we need YOUR assistance to ensure that we never run out of space! Please review your Zoom cloud recordings and delete them where possible. Watch this short video to learn more about deleting entire recordings or specific files. Things to consider:
Is the recording not for a course or not something you are actively using, but something you want to keep?... Consider downloading the recording or uploading it to YuJa.
What are you actually recording from each meeting?... Check your recording settings in Zoom.
Distance Education has a limited number of Camtasia and Snagit licenses available for faculty and staff. Visit our licenses website for more information about these two tools and to request a license.
