AHC Inc. Hosts Annual Meeting at The Apex 
AHC Inc. board members, partners, donors, and staff recently met at The Apex for AHC’s first in-person annual meeting since the pandemic. This year’s theme was “Building Community, Changing Lives” and included a presentation from AHC’s new President & CEO, Paul Bernard.

AHC honored outgoing board members Wanda Pierce, David Barsky, and Justin Oliver. The meeting also included a special remembrance for long-time affordable housing advocate Pat McGrady. The brief presentation recapped the past year and highlighted AHC's exciting future developments. 
AHC Students Explore Post-Graduation Opportunities with Georgetown University MBA Students 
Our College and Career Readiness Program brought in six Georgetown University MBA students to shine a light on their experiences, as part of an exciting career exploration panel at Gates of Ballston. The panelists were from various backgrounds and offered 30 AHC high school students priceless advice and information.

The diverse panel gave AHC students the rare opportunity to ask candid questions to help position themselves for success after high school graduation.
Waterfront Station II Celebrates "Topping Out" Ahead of 2023 Grand Opening
Hoffman & Associates hosted a “Topping Out” ceremony at Waterfront Station II, a mixed-use development project in DC’s rapidly growing Southwest neighborhood. AHC Inc. is one of several partners on the exciting housing project, located just three blocks from The Wharf. Of the 449 apartments, 136 (30%) will be designated for affordable housing.

The “Topping Out” ceremony celebrated the hundreds of construction workers’ tireless efforts and included updates from development partners and the D.C. deputy mayor for planning and economic development.
Give Back During the Holidays
AHC is looking for volunteers for holiday-themed donations to end the year. We're looking to collect gift bags with 3-5 small items like fuzzy socks, hats, gloves and craft supplies for senior citizens and teenagers.

Thanksgiving Celebrations

Multiple AHC Arlington communities are hosting in-person Thanksgiving celebrations on the days before Thanksgiving. We’re looking for donated desserts and side dishes on November 17, 21, or 22.

Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

AHC is always seeking volunteers age 14+ to help with our education programs. We’re looking for enthusiastic and supportive volunteers to support a teen or elementary school student on their educational journey.

AHC Inc. was featured in the summer issue of Affordable Housing News magazine, alongside other non-profit developers.

AHC Gives Back to Our Furry Neighbors
AHC partnered with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington at Virginia Gardens to give out free dog food and veterinary services for dogs and cats.
