Fall Fest

What a beautiful day out in Charlestown decorating pumpkins and seeing all the local vendors and community members. Shoutout to Shannon & Chapters Recovery, and Sean from Baby Boyle Bouquets for the beautiful arrangements!

Coalition staff attend CCHI retreat

What a nice day getting to connect with MGH's Center for Community Health Improvement and hear all that is in store for building out Health Equity in the next few years!

Leaf Project Session Two

We held our second session for the leaf project earlier this month, with a great turnout despite the weather! The community has created about 60 leaves so far, and we will be holding one more session this month for those interested. Stay tuned for more information.

Race Dialogues

Join us on Tuesday, November 15th at 5:30pm for our monthly Race & Equity Discussion. This series explores important topics about the impact of race, policing in urban settings, and equity. It is open to all members of the Charlestown community and the general public. Please note meetings are once again indoors until further notice at 10 Green Street.

This forum is being co-sponsored by the Charlestown Coalition, Turn It Around Youth Program, Councilor Gigi Coletta and her team.

Community Partner Highlight: St. John's Episcopal Church

We are so grateful for our community partners and could not do this work without them. This month we want to highlight St. John's and their partnership. This year alone, they have opened up their space for a new mother's group, for AA meetings, for us to hold weekly TIA JR meetings there, and more - they've been in attendance at every Race Dialogue since we connected. Their kindness, generosity and willingness to show up for their community is unparalleled! Huge thank you to St. John's Episcopal Church!

Come join their annual Harvest Fair on Saturday, November 12th from 10-2 for a day of food, fun and community. We'll see you there!

Voices of Recovery

This month, we are honored to highlight Michael Cuevas and his recovery story. Thank you, Michael!

CALL FOR VOICES OF RECOVERY!

Do you know someone in recovery that has ties to the Charlestown community and would be willing to share their story? Every month, the Coalition highlights someone in their newsletter for Voices Of Recovery. We are always looking for more stories to share!
