Fall is certainly in the air at the library! Our Halloween-themed book display offers an array of spooky mysteries and local ghost stories. We have special events scheduled for all ages involving pumpkins, skulls, owls, magic, and more. And our StoryWalk® display at Sickles Playground now features Kevin Henkes' beautiful picture book, "In the Middle of Fall."

Join us to paint Fall Ceramic Figurines
Thursday, October 27 at 1:00 pm
Join us for some fall fun, painting your choice of either an owl or pumpkin ceramic figurine. We will supply the paint, you supply the creativity!

In case of inclement weather, outdoor events will be held inside.
Join Ms. Danya for stories, songs and fingerplays! Take 'N Make craft kits will be distributed at the end of each program.

Indoor Family Storytime and Craft ages 4 years and up

Magic, Myth & Monsters: Halloween Event

Paint a Ceramic Sugar Skull Figurine

Grades 5 and up

Get in the mood for Halloween as you paint and decorate your own ceramic "Sugar Skull." We'll supply the paint, markers and decorations.

StoryWalk® Book!
at Sickles Playground

Check out our newest StoryWalk® book, "In the Middle of Fall" by Kevin Henkes, now on display at Sickles Park playground! Little Silver Library has collaborated with Little Silver Recreation to bring another book to our community! StoryWalk® is a way for children to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Non-Fiction/History Book Club

The Non-Fiction/History Book Club will be reading "The Great Bridge" by David McCullough. They are going to discuss it over 2 months as the book is lengthy. The group will discuss the first half on Monday, October 3rd at 6:30 pm and the rest of the book on Monday, November 14th.
