The Englishman River- Kw'a'luxw - Emil Anderson Legacy Forest
On September 26, at Top Bridge in the Englishman River Conservation area near Parksville, The Nature Trust was pleased to announce the addition of The Englishman River – Kw’a’luxw – Emil Anderson Legacy Forest to the conservation complex.
The Emil Anderson Group donated the 71-acre property, adjacent to the existing complex, along with all the acquisition and land transfer expenses, and an endowment to ensure the property will be cared for into the future. The total value of the donation is more than $5 million.
This is the highest value land donation ever received by The Nature Trust!
We had the opportunity to sit down with Mike Jacobs, Chair of Emil Anderson Group for a Conversation on Conservation. Read his story here.
