DMA was tasked with designing an addition to Cliff Cottage in a similar aesthetic to the original one-story cottage. DMA proposed a screen porch to help seamlessly tie new into old. Although a summer residence, the new addition has modern amenities like insulated walls and an air-source heat pump for heating and cooling. In addition, the natural daylight flows into the new wing through high windows in cathedral ceilings, capped off with stunning bead board finish to the ceiling.

Although there are a few items left to do, the owner has moved into Headline. It really is a spectacular house, and the design team that includes Jeanne Handy Designs, Trillium Engineering, BuildingWorks, and construction by Thorner Building Corp, should be very proud. We are very much looking forward to photographing this house in the future.

The large windows at Cold Spring Farm do not disappoint...offering wonderful views of the Kennebec River. The exterior insulation will be like a blanket on this modern addition to an historic house. Construction by Chartier Building and Remodeling.

We took a half day recently and entered a couple of teams into the Bath Rotary Golf Scramble at Sebasco Harbor Resort. The entire office, minus Sophi who was attending her sisters wedding, joined. We also grabbed a couple people from Trillium Engineering Group to round out our two 4-somes. We did not come home with any medals but had a great time at a pretty golf course.

DMA received planning board approval from the town of Brunswick for a renovation to an industrial building along the Bath Road. The interior will be gutted, and the entire facade facing the road will be updated for a new retail, packaging, and cannabis manufacturing facility.

Sitework has begun at All Decked Out, one of our new houses in Georgetown. This 3-bedroom house will nestle back into the hillside so the grade-change can be made inside the house. Rock from the site will be used to level the grade on the water-side of the house. Construction by Chartier Building & Remodeling.
