Blessings to you all! There is much to share in this busy season, but first, a poem of autumn reflection--

The Way In by Linda Hogan

Sometimes the way to milk and honey is through the body.

Sometimes the way in is a song.

But there are three ways in the world: dangerous, wounding, and beauty.

To enter stone, be water.

To rise through hard earth, be plant,

Desiring sunlight, believing in water.

To enter fire, be dry.

To enter life, be food.

As so much of our human world seems to speed up in this fall season, the earth is asking us to slow down. To slow down and find a "way in" to the abundance of presence around us. Notice the deepening shadows of shorter days. Notice the crisp scent of cooling morning air. Notice the earth is plentiful, meant to be shared. Notice, our lives, too, are plentiful, meant to be shared.

The ever-returning lessons of harvest remind us that all we need is already here. May we continue with courage to keep seeking understanding and offering our gifts.

In that journey, we are deeply saddened by the shooting in Española of Jacob Johns, a Hopi climate activist. We ask for prayers of healing for Jacob, for his family and community, and for the heart of this country. GoFund me for Jacob Johns
