October Social Media Toolkit:

This month, SCORE is spotlighting resources to support women-owned small businesses and offering volunteer opportunities for experienced women entrepreneurs. We have created the following toolkit for SCORE Social Media Chairs to help promote this campaign to their local online communities.

This National Women’s Small Business Month Social Media Toolkit serves as a resource guide for participating chapters to promote SCORE services, highlight success stories from women-owned businesses and spread the word about the resources available to help these entrepreneurs thrive! This collection of materials includes a combination of graphics, articles, events, templates and even suggested copy to use throughout the month of October on your chapter’s channels.

October Social Media Updates:

Best Practices: Creating Video for Social Media

Content is king and video is its driving force! In September’s webinar, we covered how we are going all in on video for HQ social content this fiscal year. We are hoping you can help us with this mission by generating some video content of your own. Interested in recording social video content? We have developed a series of best practices to help you produce the best quality videos possible.

Check out our social media video best practices here.

New: Social Media Chair Onboarding Guide

Are you a brand-new Social Media Chair wishing everything you needed to succeed in your role lived in one place? Our all-new onboarding guide informs you of all social media processes and procedures, shares how to gain access to the tools and technology you will have available to you and provides you with recommended resources to check out to effectively acclimate yourself to the role.

Introducing: Success Story Support for All Chapters

A new addition to the Chapter Social Media Program this year will be Success Story Support. Much like the process for mining and promoting your chapter workshops as Facebook Events, our team will go through your chapter’s website once per month to capture new success stories you have posted. We will then use a SOCi template to share these posts on your chapter social media channels.

Learn more about the new success story support here.

Content Update: Google Business Profile Q&A

The Hiper Team recently attended the SOCi Summit, an annual training opportunity where they were able to secure valuable face time with Google representatives. One of the suggested enhancements to our program was the utilization of Google Business Profile’s Q&A feature. In FY24, we will be publishing two questions per month on your chapter’s Google Business Profile pages.

October 26: Hiper Monthly Open Office Hours

Here's a quick look at SCORE Rhode Island's approach:

  • Layers in additional event promotions on all channels
  • Highlights client success stories through animation posts
  • Uses relevant hashtags and tagging to increase reach

These tactics have resulted in a 172% increase in Facebook and LinkedIn impressions month over month!

Has your chapter done something awesome on social?

We'd love to celebrate you!

Thank you for all you do for SCORE and for America’s small business owners!

Best Wishes,

SCORE Social Media Team (External Relations)
