Message from Magnus

With the fall quarter upon us, campus is buzzing with activity again, and I was very excited to recently welcome one of the largest, incoming engineering classes ever. An Anteater engineering degree continues to be highly sought-after by students and employers are quick to hire our graduates. We have a number of new programs and activities in store for this academic year, including a new industry practicum for our students, a significantly expanded set of makerspace facilities and increased support for student clubs and organizations. As seen in the stories in this issue, it is very much pedal-to-the-metal time at the UCI Samueli School of Engineering.

Best,

Magnus Egerstedt, Ph.D.
