Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life

Resident-Led Bible Study

Every Tuesday at 12:30 pm, ends November 14

Main Street Multi-Purpose Room

Who is Jesus? For Christians, Jesus is our way, our truth and our life. By teaching the truth, he shows the way to eternal life. As disciples of Jesus, we want to learn everything we can about his life and his teachings and develop a close, personal relationship with him. We can do this by the reading and discussion of “Jesus: the Way, the Truth and the Life.” There is also a 30-minute video. We’ll meet in the Multipurpose Room from 12:30P-2P for 10 consecutive Tuesdays beginning September 12 and ending November 14. Although the materials are by Catholic authors, all are invited to attend. If you have any questions, contact Lynda Gaidis at 443-771-4965 or lgaidis@verizon.net

Save the Date! Community-Wide Memorial Service

Wednesday, November 1 at 11:00 am – Zest

It is a tradition at Miller’s Grant to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have died within the year (specifically, since October 2022).

We invite everyone to bring a photo: We know that remembering and missing our beloveds who have died is an everyday and ongoing act of love. Therefore, we invite everyone to bring a photo of a person whom you are remembering and wish to honor (regardless of when they have died). The years may have passed, but we know you always carry them in your heart. We will have a designated table to display these photos, and we will have a special prayer for them in our service. Light refreshments will be served; RSVP required for food planning Click here to sign up!

For any additional spiritual life information, questions, or concerns contact Chaplain Chasity Wiener (410) 696-6763.

Are you a “Caring Listener?” We need you!

We are all woven together in this rich fabric of humanity. And, we all have gifts to share. We are looking for residents who would like to use their gifts of compassionate listening and conversation to connect with residents who need a little extra “TLC” in their loneliness or while going through tough times. This could be in the form of 1:1 visits or it could be helping to lead a discussion group with assisted living residents.  If you would like to know more, please contact Chaplain Chasity Wiener.  Caring Listeners is an extension of the Stephen Ministers at LVMG.

Stephen Minister/Compassionate Listeners Group

Monday, October 16 at 2:00 pm – Private Dining Room

If you are a Stephen Minister/Compassionate Listener, please mark your calendars for our monthly support session. We will begin with an opening ritual/prayer, host a brief educational session/video and discussion for our refining our skills in compassionate care; share the joys, concerns, challenges regarding your ministry; and end in closing prayer. If you have any questions, please contact Chaplain Chasity Wiener.

For any additional spiritual life information, questions, or concerns contact Chaplain Chasity Wiener (410) 696-6763.
