2023 Citizens Academy

The Ozark Police Department's 8th annual Citizens Academy is in full swing, with 12 community members attending weekly classes that cover a range of topics, from drone usage to crime scene processing, traffic accident investigations, and citizens' rights. There are only a few weeks left to go. The 2023 Citizens Academy Class Graduation is on October 24. We appreciate this group's interest and commitment to becoming more informed and engaged members of our community.

Cooking safety starts with you! Pay attention to fire prevention.

Each year, homes are destroyed due to cooking fires. In fact, more than 50% of all fires are cooking or cooking appliance-related. Always check, and double-check that your cooking appliance is turned off when not in use, teach younger children the dangers of cooking, and tend to a cooking appliance when in use.
