Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes and joined us for Show Me Christian County's five year celebration at 4 By 4 Brewing. We had some fantastic conversations between board members, past projects, local businesses, and community partners.

In other news, it's the time of year to look ahead to the upcoming Missouri legislative session. If there is a legislative issue or concern you are seeing in your business or industry, Show Me Christian County wants to know as we begin to craft our legislative communications and priorities for the 2024 session beginning in January. Finally, we are saddened to say goodbye to our marketing coordinator, Ethan Swick, as he moves on to full-time video production with a local creative company. We wish him the very best and look forward to continuing our partnership with him on a special project basis. Ethan has elevated our branded marketing materials, video content, and social media pages, and we are thankful to have a local young professional of his caliber as an ally in economic development!

OHRD District 2024 Grant Program

The Ozarks Headwaters Recycling & Materials Management District 2024 grant call is now open. Applications are due Friday, December 8^th at 3pm. OHRD awards grants annually for Solid Waste Reduction in the District’s five-county service region.

From the opening of our doors in 2018 to our five year birthday celebration, Show Me Christian County's goal has been to serve as a convener and advocate for economic growth in our county and region. These efforts can take many forms: research and data, grant applications, meetings with legislators, client assistance, regional collaboration, project funding, talent attraction, target industry communications, placemaking projects, and much more.

Sometimes, progress is visible and exciting, like a groundbreaking or a big public announcement. In many cases, progress is incremental, hard-fought, and usually confidential. However, whether we are able to shout it from the rooftops or not, our team gets to come to work every day and celebrate Christian County's communities, people, and potential. We wouldn't have it any other way!
