I will not be afraid because you are with me.

October is the beginning of the recommended time to receive the annual flu vaccine. Because the flu and COVID viruses share common symptoms, the CDC and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services strongly recommend the flu shot this year.

REMINDER: In order for us to have school, anyone with symptoms of any illness must remain at home. Please monitor your child's health and the persons in your student's household to ensure that COVID and other illnesses are not introduced into our buildings. COVID-19 vaccines are free, readily available, and are the most effective way to prevent the spread of the virus. Please take advantage of available resources and follow the guidance of the local health departments and the CDC to ensure the health and safety of your family and our school.

October 30 & 31: Fall Celebrations (see your teacher for details). Wear orange and/or black. PLEASE NO COSTUMES.

November 16: Open House SAVE THE DATE!

1 year olds pretended to be in the wild, wild west!

2 year olds read Eric Carl's book "What Do You See?"!

3s painted fancy western hats!

4 year olds completed an a STEM apple stacking challenge!

Kindergarteners presented their "All About Me" pennants to the class!

3 year olds practiced saying "hola" and "adios" in Spanish!

Picture Days!

Rembrandt Studio will be here on October 3 & 4 for school photos. A green screen will be used, so please, no green clothing.

See your Brightwheel messages regarding your assigned picture day. Please arrive no later than 9:15 am each day.

Ordering information will be sent home after picture days are over.

Vision & Hearing Screenings - 4 yr olds & Kindergarten - October 25

Chapter 36 of the Texas Health and Safety Code requires all children enrolled for the first time in public, private, parochial or nondenominational schools of Texas and Department of Human Services Licensed child-care facilities must be screened or have a professional examination for possible vision and hearing problems. (i.e. 4 year olds, kindergartners, and any other first time entrants.)

Please send cash payment and return the completed form to the school by October 18. If screenings have been completed by your physician, please send a copy of the results for your student's file. If screening results or payment are not provided by October 18th, your child will be screened at school and a $10 per service plus processing fees will be billed to your Brightwheel account.
