30th Day of Caring

Presented by Office Pride of Pensacola

VOLUNTEERS MAKE A HUGE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY FOR THE 30TH DAY OF CARING

United Way of West Florida has once again completed the largest day of Volunteerism in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The 30th Day of Caring event, presented by Office Pride of Pensacola, was held on October 20th and made a huge impact on the community.

Hundreds of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and completed service projects at nonprofit agencies and schools across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. This year, 728 volunteers showed up and completed over 68 projects with a total of 3,108 hours of work ranging from yard work, food service at shelters, reading to children, painting walls, and even building homes. The value of their donated time is estimated to have a $98,834.40 impact on our community.

“We are so thankful to live in such a kind and caring community,” said Laura Gilliam, United Way of West Florida President, and CEO. “The heart and sweat these volunteers put into the 30th Day of Caring makes a huge difference for local nonprofits and our neighbors they serve”.

The 30th Day of Caring would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our sponsors. The 30th Day of Caring is presented by, Office Pride of Pensacola, and sponsored by:

Navy Federal Credit Union, SouthState Bank, Gulf Winds Bank, Cox.

Over the past 30 years, United Way of West Florida has coordinated 28,754 volunteers to complete 2,640 projects across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
