Next month we will honor those who have served this amazing country of ours. Now through November 1st, we will be collecting cards to deliver to various veteran organizations.

This month, we focus on projects assisting underprivileged students in underserved schools. In many cases, schools struggle to provide students with the supplies needed to have a great educational experience. It can be very challenging for students to thrive in their classrooms without access to pencils, crayons, notebooks and other essentials. 

Both of these projects come with educational spotlights and talking points to spark discussion with your kids.

The Huston Foundation

We are so grateful for our partnership with The Huston Foundation. This very generous grant funded 10 schools participating in our #MontcoServes Campaign. Allowing us to continue our mission of this campaign, to inspire students in every public elementary and middle school in Montgomery County, PA. Thanks to the funding provided by The Huston Foundation we have now partnered with 45 schools empowering over 7,000 students with this campaign alone.

PB & J Sandwich Making Campaign

PB&J Sandwich collection has begun!

Join us in tackling hunger with our PB&J Campaign by assembling sandwiches with your group. The goal is for each group to make 100 sandwiches in honor of 100 years. Of course, fewer quantities will be accepted.

Sandwiches will benefit the homeless community in the Philadelphia area. Click on the link below for more details

Sock Roll Goals!

Help us reach 100,000!

We have to admit it... our Sock Rolls have become a bit of a big deal! With socks being the number one requested item in the homeless community, creating sock rolls have taken on a life of their own. But did you know.... we have been fortunate enough to deliver 84,905 Sock Rolls since we started. That's a lot of sock rolls!

Help us reach our goal of 100,000! Our MLK Sock Roll Challenge is coming up, but we can start now! Register your group for the Challenge by clicking the link below or reach out to us to find out how you can get involved!

World Homeless Day

October 10th

This day is a reminder to all of us that the homeless population has many needs and to keep in mind the opportunities that are there for all of us to help.   

Consider a family project to bring awareness to your children. We have several projects that benefit the homeless community. Check out our website for project ideas. Even something as simple as a card of encouragement to lift an individual's spirit. What a great learning opportunity.   #homelessday

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

October is the perfect month to raise awareness about adopting animals from area shelters. To honor these four-legged pups, consider:



• Donating supplies to an area shelter. Check with the shelter for 'wish list' items
• Donating old towels and blankets
• social posting using the hashtag #AdoptAShelterDogMonth
• Making dog toys (click below for instructions)
• Thank the volunteers and employees of the shelter with notes and special treats.
