Th final report for the SSHRC KSG project, titled "Economic implications of the asocial society: a scoping review of loneliness among young adults across the life course" is now publicly available. The report was author by the Prentice Institute Team of: Dr. Boco Adebiyi, Dr. Lars Hallstrom, Dr. Samuel M. Ofori Dei, Ogochukwu Onyeso, Eileen Sowunmi, Lisa-Marie Swanepoel, Brie Wilson. Get Connected, Become an Affiliate


The Prentice Institute accepts applications for affiliation year-round. Affiliates are eligible to apply for a variety of grant funds offered by the Institute.

New Internal Funding Opportunities from ORIS


  • The University of Lethbridge Research Fund (ULRF) is an internal funding source aimed to support research activities in any discipline. The objective of the ULRF is to help researchers secure external funding, by providing seed money for new projects and to launch a program of research. DEADLINE: November 1, 2023.


  • UL SSHRC Explore supports social sciences and humanities researchers' small-scale innovation and experimentation by providing funding to develop a research project or to conduct pilot work. DEADLINE: November 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024.


  • UL SSHRC Exchange supports the organization of small-scale knowledge mobilization activities, such as workshops and seminars; publishing activities; and attendance or presentation of research at scholarly conferences and other dissemination venues. DEADLINE: rolling.


The Department of Indigenous Studies is sponsoring an Indigenous Women Speaker Series for the 2023-24 academic year.

 

The first speaker, Dr. Tina Taitano DeLisle, will present her talk titled: "Placental Politics: Rewriting Oceanic Histories of Embodied Land Work, Radical Relationalities, and Indigenous Feminism"


Thursday October 26, 6-8pm at the Galt Museum (free entrance). 


Women Scholars' Speaker Series Presents: "The Horrors Persist: The Significance of Horror Stories in Contemporary Life"
