Join us at the Eagle River VFW Post 9785 to lunch and chat! We will be presenting on all things CERWIB, so this is a great one to invite guests that you would like to introduce to CERWIB. We will be voting on 2025 Board seats and hope to fill a couple empties, share with you about our committees and how you can get involved, and brainstorm about speaker topics YOU want to see on the 2025 calendar.
Lunch is provided, feel free to bring a door prize and cash for split-the-pot if you would like to participate!
Please enter the VFW at the back door under the patio, not the main buzzer entrance.
Registration will close at 8pm October 22nd.

I live in Eagle River with my husband Rick and our 15 year old son Ricky. We love Alaska and all it has to offer outdoors. I have homeschooled my son since he was 5 years old. He is now taking college classes so I am not much help, but I lend my support when needed. My husband and I have each been in construction for the majority of our adult lives. After working in the business for so long we felt there was a need for a construction company in Alaska that could provide residential remodeling services that offered an overall positive customer experience and a well crafted, high quality final product. Not to say that we do everything perfectly, but we try our best. We started our company, Avalanche Construction Inc. five years ago. Our mission statement is to "Provide residential remodeling projects with integrity, quality, and value. We started with one employee, my husband working sales and in the field, and myself taking care of all the admin work. We have worked very hard for the past 5 years and now have 16 employees, a small fleet, and a warehouse and office in Anchorage and Chugiak. We offer everything from kitchen remodels to new roofs and structural work. We provide just about every aspect of home remodeling with the exception of fencing and landscaping. We service Anchorage, Eagle River, and Chugiak with over 60% of our work being in Eagle River/Chugiak. We love the community of Eagle River and are proud to be able to offer our neighbors home remodeling services.

Join Our Board!
We will have a few general board positions open this fall, would you consider joining us? The time commitment is conservative, we meet 8 times per year on the first Thursday of the month at noon. (No meetings June through August or December) You can join meetings in person or virtually! We ask you attend at least 5 board meetings per year including our mandatory Annual General Meeting in January, and that you are a current member of CERWIB
Our board is the fuel of our organization, helping to plan speakers and events, deciding on ways to help us grow and flourish, and making sure we are the best support system for Women in Business in our area!
