Blessings these holy days of fall with celebrations of Rosh Hashanah, Navrati, and the closing of the month of Season of Creation with St. Francis of Assisi October 4. As we remember those suffering from hurricane Helene and those reeling from floods in the South East United States and other places, like Nepal---we realize again and again that we are one together and one with Holy Mother Earth.

In this fall, a time of change, may we remind ourselves that our climate and environmental efforts are holy works. Our prayers and each effort is important in the community of life.

It is important to renew ourselves and that is what our Annual Fall Gathering is about!! Perservering in Beauty and Joy, October 16, 6 pm at First Unitarian Church is meant to be a time for reflection in our chaotic times and a time to have fun. We are grateful to have Keely Mackey offer her cello music for our ritual along with other music, movement and prayer; we are excited to celebrate SEED and SPROUT Awardees; and to share food and a fun talent show. (We are still accepting talent show participants---contact us.)

Those who cannot attend in person can participate virtually in the first part of our evening. Register here. https://actionnetwork.org/events/annual-fall-gathering-virtual-registration/

In-person https://actionnetwork.org/events/annual-fall-gathering-in-person-registration/

So much more is happening this month and we are sharing many important resources for funding for energy efficiency etc. in this newsletter....so please read on and thank you for being part of the IPL community.

Peace and good,

Sr. Joan Brown, Rev. Clara SIms, Carlos Navarro
