Bullying Prevention Video Contest!
This contest aims to identify and showcase effective bullying prevention strategies or resources developed by youth, as their input will significantly enhance bullying prevention efforts across Nevada. It's open to all youth in Nevada aged 14-24.
Participants can win up to $250!
Please refer to the Bullying Video Contest Rules.

USHER Join's Lights on Afterschool!
The honorary chair of Lights On Afterschool 2024 will be R&B superstar, Usher! In his youth, Usher found his spark for music and performing in afterschool. He will be hosting afterschool students at stops on his current concert tour, giving them the chance to learn about various career opportunities in the entertainment field.

Lightbulb Artwork Contest
Light up the state with creativity in our Lightbulb Artwork Contest! This exciting contest highlights the impact of afterschool programs.
Nevada Students in an Afterschool Program grades K-12 are eligible. Prizes include $150 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place, and $50 for 3rd place!

NV OST Professional Certification
The Out-of-School Time Professional Pathways Certification (OSTPPC) acknowledges Nevada's OST providers' education, experience, skills, and talents. The key objectives of this free certification include education and training, professionalization, and establishing clear career pathways within OST.

Step Up for Kids

Each year Step Up for Kids events around the country bring together thousands of people to show widespread support for investments in children and families throughout the country and our state. These events focus on raising awareness of issues American children face such as: access to early care and learning programs, access to after-school programs, poverty, child abuse and neglect, and health care.
