OCTOBER 2024

HELLO FALL!

Visit New Horizons today!

We did it!! New Horizons is open at Borough Hall in person five days a week! We could not have done it without help and suggestions from you, our members! Thank you for being here with us every day.

We have great new weekly and monthly programs, new special programs (and are still looking to add more) as well as our long-running, popular mainstays. And now that we are here five days each week, we have resumed our sit-down, community lunch meals. Come for one of our morning programs, stay for lunch with friends (remember to sign up in advance) and stick around for something fun and interesting in the afternoon. Even better, do it day after day. Spend the day with us — spend the week with us! We are here for you. New Horizons is your community center. (Of course, you already know that if you are unable to make it in person we will always try to welcome you via Zoom if we are able. That being said, not every program or activity works well online.)

Keep reading below and also refer to the calendar and our website for everything going on at the Center in October. I and the rest of the New Horizons staff are excited to see you and greet you at the Center. We also want your feedback: please let us know how we are doing and what we can do better.

Want to get more involved? In addition to your suggestions, we would love to have you volunteer. We always need help — and now that we are serving meals in-house, we need more help. If you can spare an hour or two during the week, let us know. Please stop by the front desk when you sign in, and we can have a chat about our needs and how you could help.

October is going great at New Horizons. Can't wait to see you!

New Horizons is here for you!

Our Community Depends on You
