Alunmi Spotlight: Bryanna Moreno
Hello, my name is Bryanna Michelle Moreno.
I am proud to be part of the first graduating class at HSA McKinley Park! During my junior year, I took the Intro to Teaching program with Ms. Esparza, where I supported Kindergarten ESL students. It was through this experience that I realized my passion for education, and I knew I wanted to pursue teaching after high school. I am so grateful to Ms. Esparza for recognizing my dedication and for always providing me with constructive feedback. Her support, along with that of the other educators around me, has been invaluable.
I am currently the Third Grade Teacher Aide, working alongside two amazing third-grade teachers, Ms. Kulenovic and Mrs. Rodriguez. I assist them daily by working with small groups of students who need additional support in core subjects like Math and ELA, and I also lead whole-group instruction during vocabulary lessons. This is my second year in this role, and I plan to continue as I work toward becoming a core teacher myself.
As a student at HSA, I was also a member of the Varsity Girls’ Soccer Team. Although we don’t currently have a team, I hope to see one return in the future. In the meantime, I assist Ms. Fortman in coaching the Varsity Boys’ Soccer Team, and we just wrapped up a successful season with 7 wins! I’m excited to see what the future holds for HSA and myself, both academically and athletically.
