Communities Show Up for 2025 Walk & Roll to School Day

πŸŽ’πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ We πŸ’— Walk and Roll! We are so proud of all of the incredible 25+ Brevard Public Schools communities who celebrated National 2025 Walk & Roll to School Day with community walks, earlier this month.

Not only do these schools show up and out with staff, parents, and kiddos, but many go the extra mile to involve their community partners and law enforcement to celebrate safe, active trips to school.

The SCTPO had a great time at Coquina and RL Stevenson Elementary Schools, where we passed out reflective keychains, glow bracelets, and other safety goodies to help students stay visible on their way to school. Big thanks to all of the amazing PE teachers and Partners in Education Coordinators who led their school events, your dedication to highlighting the importance of safer routes and wellness, shines!

Indialantic Pedestrian Safety Pop-Up

The SCTPO joined the Indialantic Police Department to kick off Pedestrian Safety Month with a Sign-Waving Pop-Up at the PHB on Fifth Ave & N. Palm Ave. We reminded drivers to always yield to pedestrians. Thanks to our partners who stood with us!

Surfside Elementary

Helmet Fit

Our Public Involvement Team enjoyed chatting with families at Surfside Elementary's Family Fitness Night about the importance of staying safe on our roads. We passed out glow bracelets, shared safety materials, and fit nearly 20 FREE helmets.

Slow Down, Move Over!

Our team and partners had a blast at the Slow Down, Move Over Brevard event hosted by iGo Now Roadside to raise awareness about Florida’s Move Over Law and the importance of protecting our roadside heroes. We passed out safety items and fit FREE helmets.
