Mixed Media Gelli Plate Technique Class

Barbara will be showing you how to add paint and texture to a Gelli plate to create decorative papers. She will be showing you several different techniques to create some awesome papers that can be added to your Junk Journals, card fronts or scrapbook pages. Bring a craft mat, Gelli plate ( 2 plates if you have them because of drying time), stencils, a roll of scotch tape, any thick Acrylic paint- heavy body paint in tubes works best, Black and several colors, brayer and several papers for printing on to ( copy paper, tracing, deli, one sided scrapbook paper all work). If you do not have these items they will be available for you to use or to purchase. We have limited seating so pre-register and pre-pay. This class will also be taught simultaneously on Zoom. Contact us with enough time to set up and provide you with info.

Christmas Stitched Card Class

Take one sheet of paper, a needle and thread, a little Christmas cheer and you have these lovely, stitched Christmas cards. You don't need to know how to sew to do these cards, but once you start, you'll be hooked.

What to Bring: Basic Stitching Kit, glossy accents, Fluffy Stuff, floss, score tape.

Tangling at the Beach: The Zentangle Method

Zentangle classes are held every month on the second Friday at 10:00 a.m. They are taught by Certified Zentangle Teacher, Ellen M. Class fee is $20. Each class introduces you to new patterns and intricacies of the Zentangle method.

What is Zentangle?

A form of relaxation using easy to learn patterns, drawn by focusing on single strokes one at a time. Anyone can do this regardless of creative ability. It allows you to relax while creating something beautiful.

The most common reasons I hear for avoiding the class or continuing…

No ability / No training /I am not an artist/ I can’t draw…All Zentangle patterns are made using simple elemental strokes, just like the shapes you use when signing or printing your name.

It is too difficult / I will make mistakes…A key principle of the Zentangle Method is that there are No Mistakes. Everyone’s tile will look different.

Classes are available through Zoom and in person. Prepayment is required by cash, check or Zelle. Call the store to reserve your spot.

Christmas Accordion Album

Uniquely Creative accordion album and Stamperia Candy Christmas come together for October’s journal class. Kit includes everything to make this adorable album reminiscent of the childhood game Candy Land.

Supplies needed: Basic toll kit, centering ruler, post it notes, washi tape, awl,large binder clips, notched punch or ½” circle punch.

Junk Journal Club

This month you will be creating clusters, snippets and snippet rolls. Which are decorative groupings of scrap papers, lace, ephemera, buttons, etc. to adorn your Junk Journal pages or even used on scrapbook pages or cards. Bring basic tool kit, glue, small stapler, vintage photo or walnut ink pad with sponge applicator, small rubber stamps, scrap papers (notebook, music, scrapbook, etc.). small scraps of fabric, lace, ribbon and ephemera pieces.

Barbara will have dyed paper, sheet music and misc, paper and ephemera for you.

Photo Play Interactive Cards

This class includes three different interactive card bases from Photoplay's newest release. It also includes paper pads from Studio Lights Grow and Bloom Series. There is so much in this kit you'll be creating for days.

What to bring: Basic Tool Kit, blending brushes and/or daubers, 1/8" vellum tape runner, Inks to distress edges. I used 49& Market's Daffodil, Lavendar Fields, and Cappuccino, 1/4" score tape.

Class Payment and Cancellation Policy

ALL class fees are due at the time of registration.

(Exceptions will only be allowed by the instructor)

Cash and checks are the preferred method of payment, some instructors do have Zelle, paypal or Venmo. We DO NOT accept credit card payments for classes.

Phone registrations are accepted. Please secure your seat with a credit card. In the event you do not show for the class we will charge your card for the class with an additional $3.00 fee.

Please sign up for your class as soon as possible to reserve your space and allow the instructor ample time to complete the necessary preparations for your kit.

In the event Scrapbooks By The Sea cancels a class, fees will be refunded in full. If you cancel prior to 3 business days, fees will be refunded in the form of store credit. If you cancel a class within three (3) business days of class start time or you do not attend then class fees will be forfeited.

Return Policy

We are unable to make returns or exchanges on paper.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may return it in its' original packaging and in perfect, unused condition with the original receipt within 14 days of purchase for exchange or credit ONLY (excludes custom orders).

Broken or damaged items may be returned for exchange of a like item of equal or lesser value.

Sorry, shipping costs will not be refunded.

Classroom Policy

We hope you will enjoy using our classroom space, equipment, tools and stamps when we do not have classes scheduled. We are happy to provide the use of this space to our guests for a small fee of $5.00 per visit.

If you will be shopping with us today and make a purchase over $20.00 the classroom fee will be waived.

Please leave your work area clean for our next guest's use and dispose of food/drink items in the kitchen trash.
