Blessed to be together
Our 2025 conference “Better Together” is now a glorious memory. On behalf of the entire GLR board you can be certain our hearts are filled with gratitude at its success. The region has demonstrated itself as a presence in the Unity movement like never before.
Inspired participation by our acclaimed presenters to ministers, spiritual leaders, LUTs, church board members both in person and online, together with Unity Worldwide Headquarters and Ministry leadership, we all showed up.
Hard work and endless preparation by the GLR board and staff proved to be worth the experience we all shared in the moment of now that Unity prides itself knowing as the only expression in our collective understanding of Truth.

I'm still basking in the love of our fabulous Great Lakes Regional Conference. We opened the conference with an incredible heart-opening exercise led by Rev. David MacArthur. This set the pace for the rest of our time together.
Each speaker, all from our own region except David, let their light shine and their wisdom pour forth. To say it was amazing is an understatement.

Nearly 80 folks have registered for the upcoming Fall Great Lakes Regional Youth Retreat and we couldn't be happier! The theme is Peace Like A River and the Regional YOU Officers are hard at work preparing for the group. Thanks for investing in our youth through your generous tithes and donations. Please hold those in attendance in prayer for safe travel, spiritual upliftment, and of course, oodles of FUN!

LICENSED UNITY TEACHERS GROUP: NEW REP

It has been both a joy and a blessing to serve the Great Lakes Unity Region as the Licensed Unity Teacher Representative over the past six years. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to support, connect with, and grow alongside individuals who committed to our Unity movement and the ever-evolving role of a Licensed Unity Teacher.
I have cherished our conversations, our collaborations, and the sacred spaces we've held together — whether in person or virtually. As I step aside from this role, please know that I do so with immense gratitude and full confidence in the strength and future of our region’s Licensed Unity Teachers. You are a vital part of our Unity movement — spiritual educators, leaders, and light-bearers — and your presence is making a difference in ways that ripple far beyond what we may see.
I’m thrilled to share that Nancy Anne Berdasco will be stepping into the role of LUT Representative! Many of us already know Nancy and the positive energy she brings. With her experience and fresh perspectives, we know she will bring innovative ideas and unique, valuable insights to our team.

Is Your Church Ready for a Google Ad Grant for Nonprofits?
Google Ad Grants for Nonprofits offer nonprofits up to $10,000 a month in free Google Search ads—a powerful way to share Unity’s message, reach spiritual seekers, and grow your community’s impact.
Before jumping in, ask yourself:
Do we have the tech in place? Do we have 501(c)(3) status, website readiness, that clearly shares who we are and a Google for Nonprofits account?
Who will manage it? Volunteers or staff can help with campaigns, compliance, and tracking results.
Where can we get help? Organizations like VolunteerMatch or Google’s Nonprofit Marketing Immersion can connect you with skilled volunteers to assist with ad grant management and ensure compliance.
Do we have the time, talent, and energy? Grants need ongoing attention to work well.
The good news: AI can help lighten the load! It can suggest ad copy, recommend keywords, schedule reports, and even flag compliance issues—so your team can focus on what matters most: your mission.
First step: Take a look at your resources and see if now is the right time to dive in.
UWM and UWH are requesting 5 minutes daily from all of us to devote to silent prayer as we serve and work together for the highest good for one Unity. The Annual Meeting of our membership and vote on this will be November 5th.
Let us take a deep breath, allowing our bodies to settle, our minds to clear and our hearts to open in this time in prayer.
