CiCi Case Enthusiasm Award

This award is given annually to a selected member of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association Fort Wayne Chapter. Characteristics of the Cici Case Enthusiasm Award winner is someone who:

• Conveys the vision, mission and values of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association: connecting women to learn, play, and enjoy golf and enriching the lives of women through golf.
• Conveys the spirit of Cici Case, that is, an enthusiasm and passion for life, treating fellow members with respect and compassion, and giving a listening and trustful ear to all.
• Is an active member of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association, not only in weekly League, but also in the Fort Wayne Chapter activities throughout the year.
• Shows enthusiasm and generosity by volunteering for LPGA Amateur Golf Association events, giving of her time to LPGA Amateur Golf Association in capacities beyond expectations.

How long have you been playing golf? What inspired you to join the LPGA Amateurs and what do you hope to gain?

• When I was growing up, my parents were members at the Elks Country Club (now Coyote Creek Golf Club) and all of my family played golf. I eventually stopped because none of my friends played. Fifteen years ago, when I met my boyfriend Scott and realized that I'd have to get back into playing if I wanted to see him on weekends, I found the LPGA Amateurs by a Google search for ladies evening golf leagues and joined so I could meet other women to play with.

What's your favorite golf course or golfing memory?

• I love to play the courses in Northern Michigan. The courses are beautiful and fun to play. Also, the Spring and Fall trips with the LPGA Amateurs are so much fun and a great way to get to know everyone!

Do you have a preferred golfing buddy, style, or strategy when playing?

• I love playing with all my LPGA Amateur friends and of course my boyfriend Scott. He was unable to play this year due to shoulder surgery but hopefully next year we can play in Northern Michigan again.
