OCTOBER 2025 NEWSLETTER

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a national observance dedicated to increasing awareness about the impact of breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Breast cancer remains one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers among women and regular screenings continue to play a critical role in improving outcomes and saving lives.

The Region 6 South Central Public Health Training Center encourages public health professionals and community partners to use this month as an opportunity to promote education, screening and access to preventive services. Together, we can continue advancing efforts to reduce barriers, support early detection and improve health outcomes across our region.
