Annual Children's Concert

Fourth and fifth graders get to hear and experience how exciting a live orchestra can be when they hear the expansive sound of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra for free! Greenville County Public Schools receive priority access, but this concert is open to homeschoolers, co-ops, and charter schools as well.

Music Director Lee Mills takes the stage with iconoc music from legendary films, including Ben Hur, Casablanca, Star Wars, Jurrasic Park, Beauty and the Beast, and more.

Lollipops: Creepy Pair of Underwear

10:00 am at Greer Branch Library

11:30 am at Hughes Main Library

Join Jasper Rabbit as he battles with his glow-in-the-dark underwear! Featuring Principal Timpanist Daniel Kirkpatrick on percussion. Rhythmic beats, twinkly melodies, soothing soundscapes and sudden crashes and bangs are on the menu, and can get quite loud. Ear protection is recommended for sensitive ears.

Once Upon an Orchestra

The Three Billy Goats Buenos

Featuring GSO Principal Timpanist Daniel Kirkpatrick and Principal Hornist Anneka Zuehlke-King, learn Spanish vocabulary along with experiencing the adventures of the Three Billy Goats Gruff!

Peter and the Wolf, Mimi Wyche Narrator

Back by popular demand, Peter and the Wolf returns to the Gunter Theatre for two enchanting performances! Delight in the melodies of Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 paired with an adventure-filled story about two children from the Carolina Mountains named RaeLynn and Luke. Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf comes to life with a new twist on the old tale, narrated by Greenville’s own Mimi Wyche.
