A Message from Our President

As we enter the fall season, I am reminded of how blessed we are to live in a nation founded on faith, freedom, and courage. The world around us is changing rapidly, and with that change comes a greater responsibility for us as conservative women.

We are not just observers — we are guardians of our families, our communities, and the future of our country. Thank you to everyone who wore red at our luncheon in honor of Charlie Kirk. Your participation and patriotism are truly appreciated.

This past month also became personal for me in a way I never expected. I experienced a sudden heart issue that required emergency care and the placement of a pacemaker. I am healing well, and I want to thank those who prayed, called, and encouraged me during this time. Your love has strengthened me more than words can say. I truly believe God allowed this moment to remind me - and perhaps all of us - that our time here matters and our mission cannot wait.

I’d like to thank all of you for participating in our programs and events. We received the two highest awards, NFRW Diamond Award and AZFRW Turquois Award. Additionally, our members received individual awards that should be recognized.

Jamie Alford - NFRW American Patriot Award

Terra Wales - NFRW Highest number of Campaign calls

Jan Dubauskas - AZFRW Highest number of Campaign Volunteer hours

We also received an AZFRW 2nd place award for Best Website.

As your AzFRW Education/Literacy Chair, I am honored to serve and will rely on your support and involvement as we continue our efforts to protect the future of our children.

Parents’ rights remain at the core of our mission. We:

  • firmly believe that parents - not government bureaucrats - should have the primary authority in deciding what their children are taught.
  • advocate for school choice, Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESAs), homeschooling, and the preservation of fairness in girls’ sports.
  • are committed to raising academic achievement, particularly in reading and mathematics, and ensuring that every child has access to a safe learning environment. This includes supporting school resource officers on our campuses.

I look forward to working alongside you, with your support and boots on the ground, as we continue the fight for our children’s future.

Here in our own community, we proudly support law enforcement, military and Veterans with charitable programs like

AZLEOS Shop With a Cop/Shop with a Sheepdog

Please volunteer or donate for any of these amazing opportunities to help officers serve, protect, and bring hope to children and families in need.

Congratulations to our new slate of elected officers for 2026-27 and thank you to the nomination committee for selecting strong candidates. (See announcement below) Our primary/full members only will vote for our new board of elected officers at our November lunch. If you have any questions, or would like to run from the floor, please notify me in advance so we are prepared for a ballot vote.

To every member of PVRW — thank you. Your prayers, your activism, your patriotism, and your heart for service are what make this organization strong.

Michal Joyner: 1st Vice President, Programs

I loved the rain, and the cool weather seems to indicate that Fall has finally arrived.

If you missed our October luncheon, you really missed a gem of a meeting. We heard from Brad Miller, Pinal County Attorney. I’m sure many were wondering why I featured someone from out of County. If you were there, you found out why. He was amazing, and I look forward to following his political success. We also heard from Greg Caton, Scottsdale City Manager. He brilliantly went over his numerous jobs and areas of his responsibility. I know we are in very good hands with his leadership. His presentation on his goals for the city was very informative.

For November, we will gently move into the political arena getting ready for the mid-terms. I’ve asked George Khalif, Data Orbital, to give us his thoughts on the state of the party in Arizona both to date, and what he sees for next year. In addition, we’ll hear from Alex Kolodin, candidate for Secretary of State, Eli Norton, candidate for State Treasurer and Barry Graham, Scottsdale City Council.

Our 3rd Vice President, Jan Dubauskas and City Councilwoman, is on a much-deserved vacation. She asked me to let you know that the charity we’re supporting in November will be the Scottsdale Food Bank. Please bring non-perishable items to our November 19th meeting to help those in need. Many have fallen on hard times both with the economy and the flooding. Please donate what you can and bring it to the meeting. I know Jan will also accept gift cards if that’s easier for you.

We will also hold the formal elections at this meeting. The slate is amazing, and our Club will be in excellent hands going forward. Call me if you have any questions.

GREAT NEWS: Trump’s DOJ Backs Arizona’s Law

Requiring Proof of Citizenship To Vote!

As Constitutional Conservative Republicans, we do not believe it is the right of non-citizens to vote in our Arizona elections.

AZ FREE NEWS: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a brief in support of

Arizona’s law requiring proof of citizenship to vote. The intervention comes in Mi Familia

Vota v. Warren Petersen, a lawsuit filed by leftist groups against two laws passed by the

Republican-controlled Arizona Legislature in 2022.

The laws require voters registering via the state form to provide documentary proof of

U.S. citizenship to participate in state and local elections. The DOJ’s brief backs Senate

President Warren Petersen’s defense of the laws following a Ninth Circuit Court of

Appeals ruling that invalidated key provisions. The brief argues that Arizona’s birthplace

attestation requirement “does not violate the Materiality Provision because it is generally

important that an election official would consider important to the process of determining

an applicant’s eligibility to vote.” Read AZ Free News Article HERE.

Our Republican Elected Officials are fighting for Election Integrity Warren Petersen writes on X:

“Last month, the Ninth Circuit denied Arizona’s appeal over its election proof of

citizenship law, which was another terrible decision that will most assuredly be overturned.

The Arizona Legislature will appeal this misguided opinion to the U.S. Supreme Court,

and it will likely become another election law blockbuster case. Thankfully, after I asked @Potus and @pambondi to review the case, @HarmeetKDhillon and @JesusOseteDOJ filed a great brief to support Arizona’s commonsense law. I look forward to collaborating with the White House and DOJ on our appeal to the nation’s high court."

Americanism Moment

Amendments To the United States Constitution

October 2025

During the formation of the Constitution, the framers realized there could and would be proposed changes to it called Amendments. Therefore, they made it “somewhat easy to

do”. An amendment must be proposed by Congress with a 2/3rds majority of both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a Constitutional Convention called for by a 2/3rds majority of state legislatures.

Out of thousands of bills being presented over the years, only 27 Amendments have been

ratified out of 33 passed by Congress. Under Article V, the states would have the option of petitioning Congress to call a Constitutional Convention, only if certain stringent rules

were obeyed. It has never occurred.

The first 27 Amendments are called The Bill of Rights. The first Amendment was ratified in 1791 which speaks to the various freedoms, such as freedom of religion, speech, the press, to assemble, and to petition the government. The thirteenth Amendment was previously known as The Emancipation Proclamation which was ratified in 1865. The last couple of Amendments (24-27) had to do with poll taxes, succession following death of the President, and lastly protecting the salaries of members of Congress. The 27th Amendment was ratified in 1992.

Much of this information was taken from the editors of History .com.

Charlie Kirk's Legacy: "Stand for Truth Without Fear" speaks volumes.

His life was a model of what it means to take a stand for truth, to live boldly, and to defend our fact-based biblical beliefs with convictions and grace.

Let us not forget his sacrifice!
