Broward County Hidden Gem:
Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center
Long Key Natural Area and Nature Center has some of the most significant archaeological, historical, and ecological resources in Broward County. Located in Davie, this area was inhabited by the ancient Tequestas and the more modern Seminoles and Miccosukees. Visitors can explore the nature trails and walk amongst the magnificent live oak hammock, which serves as an important habitat for wildlife. Long Key has a variety of amenities including an exhibit hall that highlights the history of the Native Americans on Long Key. Join us for our next night hike at Long Key on Friday, October 30 at 7:30PM. Find out more about our unique parks and programs on our Website at Broward.org/Parks. This is Your Park, Your Way!
Learn about the natural environment though reading, crafts, and hands-on activity at our weekly and monthly programs like Nature Tots, Knee-High Naturalists, Niños en la Naturaleza, Pony Tales, Farm Fables, and other special events.
