Save Food, Spend Less Challenge

How much food goes to waste? More than you might think.

About 40% of food is wasted somewhere along the supply chain. That’s like walking out of the grocery store with five bags of food and dropping two in the parking lot.

This October, Valley Outreach is participating in the Save Food, Spend Less Challenge, and there’s still plenty of time to join us!

October Donation Need of the Month: Cat Food

Everyone deserves to have the resources they need to care for their household. At Valley Outreach, supporting a household means looking at the whole picture — including the relationships and responsibilities that matter most to them.

For many households, pets are part of the family. They provide companionship, comfort, and connection, and caring for them is an important part of supporting the household as a whole.

That’s why our food shelf makes pet food available alongside the other resources we provide.
