The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will be at the Gloucester Walmart on October 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. to receive over the counter and/or prescription drugs (expired / unwanted) from the community.

CERT Training Scheduled for Nov. 6-7

Are you prepared? Do you want to help your Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex community in an emergency?
The C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) is a positive and realistic approach to emergency and disaster situations where citizens may initially be on their own. While people will respond to others in need without the training, one goal of the CERT program is to help them do so effectively and efficiently without placing themselves in unnecessary danger.

C.E.R.T. members are NOT first responders but offer support in our communities. The C.E.R.T. team is a group of community volunteers that learn to: Manage utilities and put out small fires, provide Basic First Aid, learn how to search an area safely, help at local events and more!

C.E.R.T. training is free and will be held November 6-7 in Gloucester. COVID precautions and social distancing will be in effect. Space is limited. Teens are welcome.

For more information or to register, email [email protected] , visit https://www.gloucesterva.info/398/CERT-Training or call 804-693-1390.
