Installation of Methodist Bishop Sandy Olewine
Bishop Megan and Canon of the Ordinary, Julie Wakelee, were warmly welcomed as ecumenical guests on Sunday for the joyful installation of Methodist Bishop Sandy Olewine, the new bishop of the Cal-Nevada region of the Methodist Church.
The event was filled with a spirit of unity and celebration, as leaders from different Christian traditions came together in support of Bishop Olewine’s new role. Bishop Megan and Canon Wakelee had the pleasure of sharing in rich fellowship with other bishops, exchanging stories, and building deeper connections. The day was made even more memorable by the stunning beauty of the historic Japanese American church that hosted the event, its peaceful setting and timeless architecture offering a perfect backdrop to the occasion. It was a truly uplifting experience, filled with joy, friendship, and a deep sense of community.
