Our ninth annual Blessing of the Animals is this Sunday, October 27, at noon. All pets are welcome. Please bring dogs on a leash or in a carrier. If you’re unable to bring your pet, for any reason, but would still like them blessed, please bring a photo.

Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals for a special blessing during Children’s Time at the 10:00am service.

The children in BeTween are raising money by hosting a car wash this Sunday, October 27, from 11:15 to 12:45 in the church parking lot. Your donations will support our Christmas service project for local kids in need. 

Join us this Sunday, October 27, following the 10:00 service on the patio for a reception to welcome our new organist, Zachary Golden, and the new director of our Cherub Choir, Grace Templeton. We’re thrilled they're part of our music department!

We will collect non-perishable items for our neighbors through Tempe Community Action Agency this Sunday, May 26. TCAA is especially in need of bottled water and baby formula. Donations may be left on the benches at the front gate to be collected and delivered to TCAA following Sunday's services. If you're unable to bring food to donate, but would still like to contribute, please CLICK HERE to donate securely online (please scroll down to select TCAA Food Bank). 

Our monthly Taizé service is this Sunday, October 27 at 4:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. The Taizé service comes from the ecumenical community of Taizé, France. Gathered in the presence of Christ, this is a time of meditative common prayer. During the service, we sing uncomplicated, repetitive songs, uncluttered by too many words, allowing the mystery of God to become known through the beauty of simplicity. A few words are sung over and over again, which helps us to go deeper into prayer. In between the chants we have a scripture reading followed by silence. During this silence, we allow the Word to sink deep into our hearts.

Sunday, November 3, is All Saints’ Sunday. Please email Kris by noon on Monday, October 28, if you would like to light a candle in memory of a loved one who died in the past year.

We invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the United Methodist church and Dayspring specifically, next Sunday, November 3, following the 10:00 service. We will meet in Tempe in Room 112 as well as via Zoom if needed. Please email the church office to let us know you are interested. Our annual Church Conference is Monday, November 4, at 7:00pm in the Palo Verde Room. All Dayspring members are invited to join Dayspring leadership and Rev. Melissa Rynders, Superintendent of the East District of the Desert Southwest Conference for this yearly business meeting, where officers are elected for the coming year, salaries are approved, the annual reports and the overall mission and ministry of the church are reviewed.
