CALSTART announces the launch of Communities in Charge providing $30M in incentives for schools, health care centers, local businesses and communities.


  • Application window for Level 2 EV charging rebates opened on August 5th 
  • Application window for Level 1 EV charging rebates will open on October 7th, 2025 
  • Last day to apply for either a Level 1 or Level 2 EV charging rebate is January 9th, 2026

Nissan May Supply Hybrid EVs to Ford &Stellantis


Nissan is in negotiations with both Ford and Stellantis to potentially supply both companies with a hybrid EV based on the Rogue platform.

Stellantis Invests $13B in US


Stellantis has announced that they will invest $13B in developing US production. This will increase their production by 50% with five new vehicle launches over four years, adding over 5,000 jobs in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

US Energy


US Energy has a rapid-response charging solution, the Volt Vault, that can be deployed to virtually any location and provide EV energy when grid power is unavailable or during the period of time that it will take for grid power to be installed.

US Inks Critical Minerals Deal with Australia


The US and Australia have partnered to dramatically increase rare earth minerals mining and refining in Australia with results predicted to begin within six months.

Army Fast Tracks “Micro Reactor” Program


The Army has launched the “Janus Program” to fast track the development of secure, reliable power for defense installations and mission-critical operations using the Army’s nuclear authority. The reactors will also support domestic industrial needs.

Caltrans’ Survey - “California Freight Mobility Plan 2027”


Caltrans invites feedback by October 31 on freight operations in California. 


StoreDot’s 600,000 mile Battery


StoreDot has developed a silicon-dominant anode that they claim allows them to make a battery that can withstand 2,000 back-to-back Extreme Fast Charges, add 100 miles of range in five minutes and power an EV for over 600,000 miles.

GM’s $1.6B EV Balance Sheet Write-off


GM announced a write-off of $1.6B on their EV investment and warned that investors should be prepared for additional write-offs of EV-related capital costs. GM blamed the elimination of public subsidies that changed market demand. Ford announced that they had lost $100K on every EV they sold.

Motive ZEVs at NorCal Logistics


NorCal Logistics, a FedEx contractor, has put a fleet of Motiv ZEV Class 5 ZEVs into service into Northern California delivery operations.

IEA Predicts Biofuels Use Quadrupling by 2035


The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that the use of liquid and gaseous biofuels will quadruple by 2035. Biofuels use doubled between 2010 and 2024 and currently reduces global oil demand by 2.5 million barrels per day.
