Join Us for our Halloween Parade and Flashmob!
Join us on Thursday, October 31, for our Halloween celebration! Come to the school around 2pm for our school-wide parade and dance on the blacktop! Students will start lining up outside of the school at 2pm by the entrance on Van Slyke. Please stay off the grass as 560 students plus staff need to line up. Once everyone has lined up, the parade will head towards Chatsworth and loop towards the school. Parents are welcome to line up along the entire parade pathway to enjoy all of the costumes! We will end the parade with a school-wide Halloween flashmob.

We asked...You More Than Answered!!
Tausend Dank to our fantastic TCGIS Community for last year's fundraising support! In 2017/2018 our TCGIS Board Annual Campaign established an ambitious goal of $100,000 in donations to support our intern program and provide funding for supplemental teacher & staff training. We kicked off our Annual Campaign season with Give to the Max in November and finished the year in June with our Annual End of Year Picnic sponsorship. Thanks to you, not only did we MEET our goal of $100,000 but we EXCEEDED it!

Volunteer at the TCGIS-Scholastic Book Fair: Nov. 5-9
It's book fair time again! TCGIS English teachers will host the Scholastic Book Fair the week of Parent-Teacher conferences, Nov. 5-9. TCGIS students love the book fair and it's fun to watch them peruse the titles and pick out new books. Middle school students volunteer as cashiers and keep things in order, but we need parent volunteers to support them, and to help our English teachers set up and break down the fair. Please consider volunteering for a 2-hour shift at the Book Fair:

TCGIS Band Fundraiser
TCGIS needs a few new (to us) instruments for our band and we are hosting a Pampered Chef fundraiser party to help pay for them! Why did we choose this fundraiser option?
- People know and love Pampered Chef products! Everyone has to eat, so everyone can use something that Pampered Chef has to offer! And even if you don't love cooking, these products make great gifts as well. So get some holiday shopping taken care of while doing some community good!
- It's REWARDING!! 20-25% of sales from this party will be donated to TCGIS Band!
- It's so easy! All orders will ship DIRECTLY to guests! No one has to deliver anything! So please share this party shopping link with your family and friends, near and far, and on social media! Orders are due by 8PM on Monday, 10/29.
- The Classroom Kitchen Fundraiser Program does so much good! During this limited-time fundraiser option from Pampered Chef, not only will TCGIS be getting needed funds for our band instruments, but we will also earn some Classroom Kitchen kits that the school can use for after school activities AND we are also helping a school in an underserved-community earn a Classroom Kitchen kit for their learning gardens/culinary program. This really is a WIN WIN WIN program that we are thrilled to be offering.
