Acadia University is the first in Canada to achieve an Organic Campus designation from the Canada Organic Trade Association.

Acadia University and the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre announced the 2022 recipients of the Arthur L. Irving Family Foundation Scholarship. This year’s recipients are Eve Pole, Karen Brookman, Jaclyn Delahunt, Rowan Norrad, and Anna Lukeman.

Acadia University maintained its top five rank overall in the primarily undergraduate category and earned fifth place by reputation, in Maclean’s 2023 University Rankings.
At an investiture ceremony held at Government House on October 18, 2022, the Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, presented Dr. Ricketts with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of his leadership in higher education.
Dr. Hans-Otto Pörtner was recognized with an honorary Doctor of Science from Acadia University for his scholarly leadership in the impacts of climate change during a luncheon held on October 7, 2022, in the Clark Commons. The small ceremony culminated his campus visit to deliver the inaugural Dr. Fred Gilbert Lecture Series.
Acadia University President Emeritus Ray Ivany’s portrait was unveiled at a reception in the Garden Room of the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre on October 4, 2022. The painting, created by artist Steven Rhude, will take its place alongside former university presidents in the lobby of University Hall.
Homecoming Weekend 2022 was "just like old times" according to alumni and friends who returned to campus to attend events held October 13-16, 2022. Check out photos by the Office of Advancement team on Flickr.

After being duped by an email that looked valid and university-generated, Acadia University music instructor Paula Rockwell is singing the praises of Acadia’s Technology Services team.

“I didn’t think [cybercrime] would happen to me,” says Rockwell. “My first thought was, how did this happen? And then, I just felt violated.”
