The Pie Run This Saturday There's Still Time to Register! Run for your pie, this Saturday! Featuring a 10K, 5K, and Fun Run, each participant receives a piece of pie at the finish line! We will be staggering 10K and 5K start times this year and also offering a virtual run option. Wear a costume for a chance to win a gift card! Click here for more information or to register. Pumpkin Shine Decorated pumpkins from the PS-2 to 4th Grade classes will be displayed at the front of the school October 29-31. In addition to those displays, families are welcome to drop off their own pumpkins to display starting October 26.

Preschool and Kindergarten Open House Please invite families you think may be a good fit for Southfield to tour our beautiful, historic campus for our annual Preschool and Kindergarten Open House. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, an appointment must be scheduled. Interested families are encouraged to register to attend, as Preschool spots for the 2021-22 school year will fill quickly. Open House is November 11th - 13th

Halloween Program In lieu of our annual Halloween Program in the gym, PS-3 through 2nd Grade students will perform Halloween songs and a poem or two on the front steps of the STEAM building. Students in those grades should wear their Halloween Costumes on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th. Mrs. Davis will film during regular music class time and send the videos to parents via SeeSaw or email. Second Grade will perform a Pumpkin Shine “mini-program” which will be sent via a YouTube link.

All entries are due by TUESDAY, 10/27!

Library Bookmark Design Contest Design the bookmark that will be used by Southfield School readers this year! Show your creativity and your Southfield School spirit! One Lower School (1st-4th) and one Middle School (5th-8th) winner will be chosen. Come by the library and pick up an entry form.

Parent Reminder: Please remember to remain in your vehicle when dropping off or picking up during carpool. Teachers are available to unload and load children for you. Thank you!

Face Coverings Students in 3rd Grade and up are required to wear masks to school; students in Preschool to 2nd Grade may wear a mask, but they are not currently required to by the Department of Health. Southfield School has disposable masks to provide students masks when necessary. Teachers will take outdoor “mask breaks” throughout the day.
