Comet Connection

October 26, 2026

Dear Emmaus Families,

Welcome to the last week of October! Thank you to all who joined us yesterday at church for our Reformation Sunday celebration. Our choirs, handbells, band, and Worship Dancers sang, played and danced wonderfully!

What a fun afternoon we had at Friday's Fall Festival—even if the weather didn't cooperate! Thank you to our teachers, staff, parent volunteers, and everyone who helped make the afternoon possible. We enjoyed seeing our Emmaus families come together for an afternoon of fun and fellowship, and we are grateful for everyone who helped us adjust when the rain arrived!

Last week in chapel our 5th graders, along with Mrs. Espinosa, brought us the message of how completely our sins are forgiven through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Through a courtroom drama acted out by the students, we were reminded that we are all sinners deserving punishment, but Jesus has taken that punishment for us, one that we could never pay, so that we can have forgiveness and eternal life with him forever in heaven. What incredible good news we have to share with others! Mrs. Espinosa encouraged us to be evangelists and go tell everyone about this good news! Pastor Jim will bring us the chapel message this week; you are always welcome to join us for chapel on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.

Thank you to Mrs. Garcia and the SWS Committee for organizing last week’s Red Ribbon Spirit Week. It was a fun week and an important reminder that our bodies are God’s temple and that we need to be mindful of what we put into them and how we care for them!

We hope you are able to join us tonight for our Spirit Night at Raising Cane’s (on Valley) between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. See the flyer below for more details.

This is our last week for the Classroom Competition for auction donations. While 4th grade is currently in the lead, with 1st and 2nd grade close behind, it’s still anyone’s game! Regardless of which class wins, remember that each donation helps make our auction a success, which in turn helps support Emmaus and our students.

Blessings on your week!

Dinner and Auction

Tickets are on sale NOW!

Tickets are $75 each.

You can purchase tickets in the school office or via Vanco here.

Reserved tables of 8 are $800 and can be purchased here.

(Reserved tables include preferential seating, first in line for dinner, wine, and more!)

This is an important fundraiser for our school; we hope to see you there ready to have fun and bid on some amazing items!

Here are some ways you can help:

Donate items for the silent auction.

  • We are requesting items or experiences valued at $25 or more.
  • Consider items that will excite our bidders–gift cards, fun or unique items, and experiences. These do not need to be purchased by you! We encourage you to ask for donations from local businesses or even friends or family members. *See a list of ideas below.
  • Click and shop our Amazon Wish List.
  • Earn Free Dress Passes! Every family who donates an item valued at $25 or more will earn a free dress pass for their child, with a maximum of five passes per student for multiple donations. You may also donate $25 or more in cash, and we will use the money to purchase items for the Gala. These donations will also qualify for free dress passes!
  • A Little Friendly Competition! To encourage participation, we'll recognize the classes with the highest donation values per student (total value of donations divided by the number of students in the class). The class with the highest amount per student will win a special prize, and the second-place class will also be rewarded. Let's see which class rises to the occasion! The competition ends on Monday, November 2.
  • Donations can be dropped off at the school office. Your generosity and support play a vital role in making our auction a success, and we truly appreciate your contributions to our school community.

Become a Sponsor! Does your company—or a business you know—want to support Emmaus while receiving advertising opportunities? We have a sponsorship/donation letter you can use when reaching out to potential sponsors. Click here.

Join us on Saturday, November 14 from 5:30-9:00 p.m., for a night of dinner, dancing, fun and fundraising! (Childcare will be available for a fee.)
