A Message from Superintendent Layton
*Thank you to the parents and community that supported us in our Ford Drive 4 UR School! Also, thanks to Brinson Ford for hosting us. We continue to be thankful to the Malakoff Education Foundation for their support of our students and staff.

*I enjoyed watching "Grease" on Sunday afternoon. The students and staff did a great job!

*Good Luck to our Cross Country Runners at the Regional meet!

*I am looking forward to holding the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council this coming week. I will also meet next week with the Teacher Advisory Committee. It is always great to talk to our students and staff.
*The Middle School is currently in first place in a robotics boot camp! Good luck Tigers and keep up the excellent work!

*Volleyball and Football are gearing up for the play-offs. Make sure we support them on a great postseason run!

*Shout out to the Pride of Malakoff Band! You rock.

*I wanted to say thanks to our custodians for keeping our facilities and schools clean. Thanks for all you do for our students and staff!

*Malakoff ISD is preparing to pay a bond off early!

*Our Business Department is always working hard, keeping the district going and bills paid, what a great job they do! Make sure to thank them the next time you are visiting the Administration Office.

*Anytime I attend an event or game, I always see board members supporting our students and staff. Make sure we thank them for their continued support.

*This school year is going so fast, but what a great year it has been.

* We hope to see you at the Rotary Club Hamburger Lunch at the Administration Building on November 1st from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

* It's a great day to be a Tiger. Get your claws up!

As much as we love our transfer students, we must close the following grade levels for transfers at this time:
Middle School – 7 th Grade
Tool Elementary – PK, K, 1, & 2
Malakoff Elementary – PK
Please remember, you can apply for a transfer in the Spring for the following school year.

CiCi's & Party Bus Time!

The students at TES had a great time on the Big Kahuna Party Bus, and this year they got to ride in the Batman bus!  The students rode the bus to eat pizza at CiCi’s and had a blast!
The Doors Have a Message

The staff at TES have been working hard on the Red Ribbon Week Door Contest! Here are some of the doors.
Mr. Chuck has a HEART

Mr. Chuck won the “We’ve Got HEART” award. Mr. Chuck goes above and beyond taking care of all the students and staff at Tool Elementary and we are so thankful for him.

Pink Out & Red Ribbon Week

What a great time to be a TIGER! Malakoff Elementary is having a great year so far. We had pink out day to show our support for the fight against breast cancer. This week is Red Ribbon Week where the students and teachers will show their support in the fight against drugs, alcohol, bullying, and cyber-bullying. We will have VOICE on campus to assist in educating our students with various topics of concern. It looks to be an exciting week!
ESL Parent night started off with a huge hit. Everyone was very excited, especially with the door prizes! Remember every Monday MES is in school, from 5:30-7:30, at the MES campus we will have ESL Parent night.
I would like to recognize our district bus drivers! Folks, this is a tough job. These drivers go above and beyond for your child. They are the first Malakoff employee they see each morning and often the last they see at the end of the day. Please give them a big high five and a thank you for the outstanding job they all do.
