Churchlife Opportunities

One way that people can serve Settle during worship is to volunteer to be a lay reader or liturgist - or both!

Lay readers read the scripture for that Sunday and the liturgists welcome our congregation, lead us in the Apostle's Creed, and direct us in things such as calling the children forward for the children's moment.

The 6th annual Ladies Gift Exchange is fast approaching.

Save the date: November 14 from 9-11 AM in the ROC.

Brunch, music, devotion, and gift exchange, $5 Kroger gift card for the Help Office.

Children and Youth Ministries

Our Parents' Day Out and Preschool kiddos are collecting items from November 2 - 24.

Drop items at the Welcome Desk and help us feed our neighbors.

Whether you just want to sing, speak, or maybe a little of both - All kids are welcome!

The Children's Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 20th at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary.

This will be a joint service with Traditional and Shout!.

Settle had TWO amazing events this past weekend!

At the Community Breakfast on Saturday, they served a record crowd with a record number of volunteers. If you have never been to one of the community breakfasts, stop by!

From 8- 10 AM each fourth Saturday of the month, Settle serves an average of 125 people breakfast. If may be their only hot meal that week. Additionally, attendees will find things like a snack bag to take with them or special services for that breakfast.

During this last breakfast the Owensboro Health Mobile Clinic served 53 people, two with serious health issues that were discovered.

Then on Sunday, we had our annual "Trunk for Treats".

We were able to give away over 60 coats, nearly 200 hot dog meals, and LOTS of candy!

We can't thank you enough for the coats and candy donated or the countless volunteers who helped with the coats, preparing the food, opening your trunk, or just visiting with our guests.

What an honor to be His hands and feet, even if just for a few hours.
