A New Start on Growing

The Archdiocesan First Saturday Devotion focuses each month on a different mystery of the Rosary. We’re starting the 20 mystery cycle over again on Saturday, November 6 at the Cathedral of the Assumption (433 South Fifth Street, Louisville) with Mass starting at 9 am, and the Devotion and Sacrament of Reconciliation following at 9:30 am. The Devotion includes Eucharistic Adoration, Fatima prayers, the Rosary with Meditations, and special music this month by Dr. Emily Meixner! Let this devotion anchor your monthly prayer life! This series is sponsored by the Archdiocesan Marian Committee.

34thAnnual African American Catholic History Celebration
The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry and its African American Catholic Ministry will host its 34th Annual African American Catholic History Celebration on Saturday, November 6, 2021, 12 pm, at the Cathedral of the Assumption. The theme is “Here I Am, Send Me: Missionary Discipleship.” Join us for this celebration of the past, present, and future. Current archdiocesan COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Young Catholic Professionals Executive Speaker Series for November - Young Catholics (ages 21-40) of all professions are invited to join us for YCP Louisville's November Executive Speaker Series, featuring Baptist's Health's VP and Chief Legal Counsel Janet Norton. The event is free and will take place at The Overlook at St. Thomas (6800 Steeprun Road) on Tuesday, November 16, from 7-9 pm. Come network with fellow young professionals and hear from Mrs. Norton about the role faith has played in her successful legal career. 2021 Immaculata Speaker Series
Immaculata Classical Academy’s 2021 Speaker Series will be hosting J.D. Flynn on Friday, November 12, at 7 pm. Flynn is a Catholic journalist, canon lawyer, and father of three children, two of whom have Down syndrome. His talk is titled “Speaking the Truth: Our Baptismal Call to be Prophets in the Modern World.” The presentation will be held in the gymnasium at Immaculata Classical Academy, located at 440 Zorn Avenue in Louisville. ACCOMMODATE 2021

The Archdiocese of Louisville is sponsoring the annual ACCOMMODATE 2021:
A College and Career Night for
Students Seeking Support Services and
Post-Secondary Career Opportunities.

This event will take place at Saint Xavier High School (1609 Poplar Level Road, Louisville) on Thursday, November 4, 6-7:30 pm, in the Sterne Gymnasium.
 
Representatives from colleges, universities, and alternative post-secondary programs will offer information and resources for parents and students who are exploring: 
  • How colleges and universities are addressing the needs of students with learning differences.
  • Alternative choices for a 4-year college track.
  • Availability of community resources to support college students.
  • Post-secondary career opportunities.

Angels in Disguise Christmas Concert Event will be on November 20th at Sauerbeck Drive-in. The event will feature country music artist JD Shelburne both in-person and on-screen! Plus, stay around for a showing of the Christmas movie, ELF! This will be a great night to watch a great live show, a wonderful movie, and celebrate individuals with Down Syndrome!
