St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.

Dear SRS Parent,
Your help is needed to get the word out regarding some upcoming events. On Sunday, November 3 from 1:00 P.M. -3:00 P.M. St. Rita School will be hosting an open house for prospective families. Please share with your neighbors and friends all the good things that are happening at your child’s school and invite them to attend the open house.  You will be eligible for a tuition referral credit if you refer a family. Specifics regarding our referral program are located in the newsletter and on our website.

On Saturday, November 2 at the 4:00 P.M. Mass Lucien Delaney (grade 7) will be speaking to the parishioners about his experience at St. Rita and on Sunday, November 3 at the 11:30 A.M. Mass.  Maddie Rosetti  ( grade 8) will speak about her experience. We are inviting all our school students to attend either Mass in uniform and if anyone would be interested in serving as ushers, greeters, or in the offertory procession,  please let us know. The parishioners of Divine Mercy Parish help to financially support our school and your attendance at Mass demonstrates to them that their investment in the faith formation of your child is as important to you as it is to them. Attending  Mass as a family is a great habit to establish.

Next week we are celebrating New England Catholic Schools Week. A schedule of events is listed below. All parents are invited to attend a free event on Tuesday, November 5 at 6:00 P.M.  The Executive Director of Empower Her, Danielle Beerly, MSW will talk about Child Anxiety and Mood. Please bring a friend or neighbor who wants to find out more about Childhood Anxiety.

Many parents have inquired about volunteer opportunities at St. Rita School.   In order for an event to be successful we require the assistance of our parent volunteers.  Please reach out to the event chairperson and volunteer your assistance; don’t wait to be asked.  Our Home School Association is still looking for a chairperson for the Spring Plant Sale and Father Daughter Dance. Please contact Trisha Kozloski
( trisha.kozloski@yahoo.com) if you are interested or need additional information.

It was so great to see so many students and parents at the Truck or Treat this past Friday. A special thank you is extended to everyone who donated candy, as well as  Mary Lee Delaney and her family for organizing the event. Best wishes for a safe and dry Halloween this Thursday. I hope to see you all on Friday, November 1 at our 9:00 A.M.  All Saints Day Mass. It will be held in the gym due to the predicted inclement weather. Have a great week.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  jbruno.stritaschool@gmail.com .
The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school

Over the summer, participating brands began to change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team has worked hard to build a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app , available now. The new app features state-of-the-art technology that allows you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online.

If you still have traditional Box Tops clips at home, make sure to send them to school. We will still earn cash for all clipped Box Tops until they expire. Better yet, you can “double dip” during the packaging transition by clipping traditional Box Tops AND scanning your store receipt containing participating products.

Visit amazonsmile.com , and anytime you purchase an eligible item, Amazon will donate a portion of the profit to our school! Select “Divine Mercy Parish
Corporation” as your charity, and St. Rita School will benefit every time you
