From Pastor Brian:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I pray that the Lord is guiding and encouraging you through His holy Word. This week we will be looking at 1 John 3:1-3 for our sermon text. The Apostle John encourages believers with the hope and future glory in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. The Scripture lessons are Psalm 34:1-10 and Matthew 5:1-12.
I would like to make you aware of some changes as well as some announcements. For our online worship services we have started recording the sermons as they are delivered on Sunday morning. This means that the worship services will not be posted until later that afternoon on Sunday. This is an attempt to streamline the process as well as provide a means of connection for those who are not attending. Both pastor Ben and myself feel we preach with more enthusiasm and passion on Sunday morning verses on Thursday morning in an empty sanctuary. We are not quite set up for full-on live streaming the entire service, but we are considering that option.
Also, we would like to thank all of you who joined in the effort to search for Andrea Nyberg. You were a true blessing to the Nyberg family! Andrea’s funeral will be on Saturday October 31st. The reviewal will be at 12:30 pm and the funeral will be at 1:30 pm. The funeral will be live-streamed and we will send out a link for that on Saturday morning.
I further want to inform you that Wally Benson passed away late Tuesday evening. His funeral will be on Tuesday November 3rd. Details will follow when we receive them. This funeral will also be live-streamed for those who would like.
There are two new YouTube studies posted this week. From Z2X has a new episode and Table Talk (a Bible study in 1 Peter) has a new episode as well. Please check those out. The link is further down in this email.
Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support! We greatly appreciate it!!
