Lafayette School PTO News

October 5, 2026

Dear Lafayette Families,

Mini Marathon is today, and we are so excited!

Immediately following dismissal today, registered students will make their way to the start line behind Lafayette and get ready to take on the 1.3-mile course! A map of the course is below.

Parents and Pick Up Procedures

Parents are encouraged to come out, line the course and cheer on our runners. After the race and finish-line festivities, students will be released to their parents. If you will not be attending the Mini Marathon, you must make arrangements for your child to get home after the race.

See you at the race!

It's a fun and exciting week here at LAF! Please help us end it on a high note at the annual family Move Night on the front lawn. We're showing Night at the Museum. Doors open at 6:15pm, the movie will start ~6:45pm. The event is free, but concessions and spirit wear will be available for purchase.

If you ordered a $10 Movie Night blanket and haven't picked it up yet, it will be available at the spiritwear table at Movie Night. If you're still hoping to order, keep scrolling because the link is below.

Warmly,

Kristin Lazure & Leigh Yanocha

Looking for an opportunity to come into school and volunteer during the school day?

We are still in need of parents volunteers for this week's Respect Expo on Thursday and Friday! If you can, please volunteer HERE during your child's time slot.

Our goal is for the Respect Expo to be fun, interactive, and meaningful while giving students practical ways to show respect toward themselves and others.

Thank you for helping us create a special Week of Respect experience for our students. We appreciate your time and support and look forward to having you join us!
