A series of four Wednesday morning studies entitled The Gospel of Matthew: Background and Overview begins Wednesday, October 12. Facilitated by Pastor Bob Mitchell, a retired Elder in the Desert Southwest Conference, the study will meet on Wednesday Mornings from 10:00 - 11:15am via Zoom. Email Andrea to register.

The children in BeTween are raising money by hosting a car wash next Sunday, October 16, from 11:30 to 1:00 in the church parking lot. Your donations will support our Christmas service project for local kids in need.

Dayspring will hold its eighth annual Blessing of the Animals next Sunday, October 16, at 12:00pm. All pets are welcome. Please bring dogs on a leash or in a carrier. If you’re unable to bring your pet, for any reason, but would still like them blessed, please bring a photo. Children are also invited to bring their stuffed animals for a special blessing during Children’s Time at the 9 & 10:30am services that day. more

Christian Caregiving, A Way of Life, by pastor and psychologist, Kenneth Haugh, is an inspirational guide for adults who would like to improve the quality of care they give to the people around them—family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, customers and clients. Taught by two of Dayspring’s Stephen Ministry leaders, this class is open to anyone from our Dayspring communities who would like to learn more. This class will meet weekly for five weeks both in person and online on Mondays starting October 17, from 6:30 – 7:45pm. To sign up, please email Suzanne.

From our Staff Parish Relations Committee: October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Here are some ideas as to how you may show appreciation for our pastors this month:

• Write one of our pastors a simple note of thanks for his/her work and ministry.
• Offer a prayer for our pastors in worship on Sunday morning.
• Send one of our pastors an email with an encouragement for the week.

Boy Scout Troop 172 will hold a fundraising car wash on Saturday, October 22nd from 8:30am until 1:00pm. Please stop by the Shell gas station at Elliot & McClintock, get your car washed and make a donation. 

Our annual Fall Festival returns on October 22 at 4:00! You don't want to miss it! There will be food, games, crafts, haunted house, bounce house, trunk-or-treating, and so much more! Pre-sale tickets will be available on the patio starting this Sunday and in the church office on Monday and Thursday mornings. The pre-sale price is 50 tickets for $20. All are welcome, so please tell your friends and neighbors. Proceeds support the Dayspring Youth Ministry Sierra Service Project trip.

We are honored to have hosted Temple Emanuel's community again for their High Holy Days. Between September 25 and October 5, we were the temple's temporary home for 11 services from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur, as well as discussion groups and children's programming.
