Help us deal with this dilemma. How would you budget your money if you didn’t know how much money would come into your household? Many people who start up new businesses face this issue and our church struggles with this every year. Our parish has many regular bills just like you do- heat, water, electricity, etc. We know that every year our expenses are only about $285,000. Many other costs are covered by devoted, talented parishioners who donate their time and skills. If we had to pay for what they gift to us, our expenses would be even higher.
We have a reasonable idea of what we must pay out. When you complete your Stewardship forms, you show us how you will help in ministries and what you will contribute in dollars. When you return those forms in January, you help us manage the budget. Thank you. So, here’s the question: if you don’t return your Stewardship form, or you send it late in the year, what do you think that does to our effort to serve our parish?
