OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI

Dear SRS Parents,

This Sunday our NEASC visiting team will arrive and we are ready for a wonderful experience. The six member visiting team (down from seven) will arrive and spend three days interviewing, observing, and verifying the Self-Study Report written by our school. A copy of our Self-Study Report is available for parents to sign-out and read. Please contact the school office if you are interested in reading the report. The final decision to re-accredit our school rests with the NEASC Commission of Independent Schools who will meet in February 2019 to discuss this matter.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the annual school walkathon. The day was amazing and everyone, young and old, enjoyed the festivities. A very special thank you is extended to Danielle Daley and Riel Cruz for chairing this event and all our marvelous volunteers who assisted.

On October 1 we switched over to the winter uniform. Parents are asked to please review the dress code with your child/ren as there are many students not in compliance. Teachers will be sending home dress code violation forms to those students who continually are not in compliance. If on occasion your child is not in proper uniform, please send a note to the teacher informing her/him of the reason. Due to the continued warm temperatures the students may continue to wear the gym shorts during the month of October.

Individual school pictures will be taken Monday, October 22 (dress-up clothes) and on Tuesday, October 23 will be for class pictures. All students must be in proper uniform (NO GYM UNIFORMS PLEASE) on Wednesday. Order forms for class and individual pictures were sent home with your child today. Please complete the form and return it to school on picture day. You may also order on-line before picture day at www.mylifetouch.com. St. Rita School picture day ID is EJ418058Q0.

We are currently mid-way the first trimester and conferences are continuing this afternoon and evening. Those parents who have students in grades 4-8 are able to sign-up for bi-weekly progress reports. If you haven’t done so already please go to your home page on the Edu-connect portal and check the box for the progress reports. Grades will close on November 20 and report cards will be sent home on November 30.

If you happen to meet any of our NEASC visitors please welcome them to St. Rita School. Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Have an enjoyable week.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi

9th Annual Trunk O' Treat is October 26th!

Time for a FUN-Raiser!
SRS Trunk or Treat is a fun event in which our children get to dress up early on October 26th and go "trunk to trunk" at SRS family cars in the school parking lot. They collect Halloween goodies and have an evening of fun together with music. It is a "rain or shine" event.

This event is open to all St.Rita School families.
( All ages are welcome and all must be accompanied by an adult)

How it works: cars with goodies start to line up at 5:00pm in a circle with all the trunks pointed outward. Decorated trunks are a plus: the more fun, the better!  Check out Pinterest for great ideas!
The kids can then easily go from trunk to trunk to "trunk o' treat"!

Arrival time for cars: 5:00pm
Start time of trunk o' treating: 5:45pm – 6:45pm
(**Note- participating cars must remain until the end of the event)

Parents: please sign up your car to participate. We are looking for 50 volunteers. The link is

Can you help park cars? Please note that on Signup!

Please let us know if your child/ren are participating by completing the questions on Signup so we may have an estimate of the number of children to expect.

Each child who participates is asked to donate 2 bags of treats. This may be sent in to school when you send in the below participation form or by October 25th. There will be a drop-off box in the main lobby.

Children with food allergies are welcomed and encouraged to attend! Food Allergy-Safe Trunks will be available.
