Thanks for reading our new newsletter! Here you will find the latest details about the upcoming monthly meeting, as well as other information we hope you'll find useful. Please take some time to read through this newsletter especially, as we've added a lot of programs and features we believe will be beneficial to you!

Monthly October Meeting
Join us for a lunch meeting at the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania Monday, October 9th for a panel discussion on geothermal design and construction. Social begins at 11:30 AM, lunch at 12 PM, discussion at 12:15 PM. PDH certifcates will be handed out! If you forget to grab one, contact us for a digital copy.

If you complete your payment through Paypal, there's no need to RSVP with Harry Elinsky. If you have a season pass, please continue to email him and let him know the names of attendees.
1st Annual ASHRAE Pittsburgh Sporting Clays Outing
We're excited to announce a new annual event for the ASHRAE Pittsburgh Chapter! The first annual sporting clays outing will be held Tuesday, November 9th 2017 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Foursomes as well as individual pricing is available. Please click here for the flyer.
Season Passes Still Available!
It's not too late to purchase a season pass! Cost of pass will continue to be reduced throughout the year. Great for sharing and treating a guest to a meeting!

Member Spotlight: Harry Elinsky
We just wanted to take a few moments to thank Harry for all of the hard work he has put in over many many years. Harry has worked tirelessly keeping our meeting attendance organized, and can always depend on Harry to keep operations on track. Please join us in thanking him personally at the October meeting! 50/50 Raffles at Each Meeting!



As we started our September meeting, we will be having a 50/50 raffle each meeting. A various company will be sponsoring the raffle and half of the proceeds will be donated for our local Pittsburgh chapter.
ASHRAE Region III Regional Conference Held in Pittsburgh in 2018!

Our Pittsburgh chapter will be holding the region III conference August 16-18 2018. We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate. If you've been looking to get more involved with ASHRAE, this is your chance! Contact Rob Druga for more information.

Committee Spotlight:
Grassroots Government Advocacy Committee
T he  Grassroots Government Advocacy Committee  shall be responsible for organizing ASHRAE members at the grassroots level to influence and educate local, state, provincial, and national government bodies and officials in areas of interest to ASHRAE members, in order to better coordinate efforts and understanding between ASHRAE members and government as well as being responsible for developing the extent and the manner in which ASHRAE implements and pursues actions to influence government affairs and public policy.

The GGAC committee is vital to our profession in the HVAC industry. To understand a bit more about how this directly impacts you as a member, check out this pamphlet .
