ALUMNI UPDATE
October 2017

Reunion 2017

Thank you to all those who attended Reunion 2017. Whether it was for the entire day, or for a lecture or a tour, we are so glad you were able to join us. It was a wonderful day, with many happy alumni reconnecting with old friends and reminiscing about their time at Saint Joe's while making new memories with new friends. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Photos are available for viewing on our Facebook page

Save the date for Reunion 2018 - Saturday, September 15 - celebrating all classes, with a special emphasis on those ending with 3 or 8.

If you are interested in serving on the 2018 Reunion Committee, please contact Tonja Russo at trusso@usj.edu or 860.231.5447.  Classes with active Reunion Committees have significantly higher turn out, so please volunteer today and help ensure strong attendance from your classmates!

October Fun at USJ

For students and faculty, more than a month into the school year, a routine is made and a sense of order is back. We feel the same way!

The Office of Alumni Relations has been preparing all summer to provide some new events for you this October. We have something for everyone.

Check out all our events here.
Student Highlight - Erin Morris '18

Erin Morris, a senior Accounting major at the University of Saint Joseph, has had a busy summer and fall semester. Erin put her classroom experience to work as an intern at Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance and Inspection Co. in their Underwriting department. She specifically worked with rates and fillings. Erin said, "this experience allowed me to work in a corporate setting and allowed me a great deal of exposure to the insurance industry."

Now, while continuing her studies, Erin is interning at Bradley, Foster & Sargent, an investment management firm in Hartford.

With just a few months left before graduation, Erin is planning for her future. She will be applying for graduate school and studying for her CPA certification. In the long-term, Erin would like to work with tax, audit or forensic accounting.

Congratulations, Erin, and we wish you the best!
Fairfield Alumni Club

Fairfield Area Alumni Club is the longest running alumni club of the University - 50 years! Each year, the club comes together for a variety of events, including their annual Twelfth Night Celebration, a summer social, and gift wrapping gathering.

Nearly 20 alumni from the classes 1957 to 1997 recently gathered at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course for dinner and conversation about the Physician Assistant Studies program with Founding Director and Chair Carrie Walker, MPAS, MS, PA-C.
The club is always looking to welcome new members. It can be  for one event or all of them - it is up to you.

To learn more about the club and their events, please contact Tonja Russo at 860.231.5447 or trusso@usj.edu.
