REMINDER: COYOTES AMONG US

The Town has contracted with APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service), an agency of the USDA for help addressing the coyote situation in our area. If you experience a first-hand encounter or sighting of a coyote within Beaux Arts Village, please contact Clerk/ Treasurer Sue Ann Spens to report the incident. Your report should include your name, your phone number or email address, the location of the incident (nearest intersection is good), and the type of incident (coyote sighting, encounter, stalking, etc.) She will share that information with APHIS agents, who will contact you for more information, if needed.

COUNCIL BUSINESS

The Council met on September 9, 2025 to discuss/act on the following:

  • Glen Path. Continued discussing a proposal for additional plantings along the Glen Path. Plantings will be added to the east and west sides of the path at its north end to enhance privacy for path users and for the property owners in that vicinity. The Council approved $4,000 in funding for the purchase and installation of plants, which is expected to be completed in mid-October.
  • Town Survey. Began a review of the results of the Town’s SE Quadrant Survey, which was conducted earlier this year. Councilmembers will be discussing the survey with Town Engineer Stacia Schroeder at the October meeting.
  • Fees. Discussed a review of fees charged by the Town for several permits and services. Based on that discussion, the Council will revise several fees to ensure that the Town’s out-of-pocket costs are covered.
  • YTD 2025 Actual Revenues / Expenditures vs. Budget. Reviewed our actual versus budget performance year-to-date to ensure that all remain within their projected ranges. This review / discussion will continue in October and November as part of the Council’s work developing the 2026 Budget.

The next Council meeting will be on October 14th at Councilmember McCarthy’s. At that meeting, the Council will begin work on the Town’s 2026 operating budget, including the property-tax levy.
